$2,000,000.00 Championship Blackjack Tournament

August 16, 2008


1.  “The Split” Blackjack Tournament is part of the Winstar World Championship Series (WWCS) consisting of five (5) preliminary monthly blackjack tournaments collectively referred to as the $100,000.00 Monthly Mega Blackjack Tournaments leading up to the final tournament referred to as the $2,000,000.00 Championship Blackjack Tournament.  All tournament play will be held at WinStar Casinos, an enterprise of the Chickasaw Nation.


2.  This Tournament is open to persons who are eighteen (18) years of age or older. All participants must be a WinStar Casinos Club Passport Member. Employees of the Chickasaw Nation, members of their household and/or promotional sponsors shall not be eligible for participation in “The Split” Blackjack Tournament. 


3.  Certain aspects of “The Split” Blackjack Tournament which includes (5) $100,000.00 Monthly Mega Blackjack Tournaments and the $2,000,000.00 Championship Blackjack Tournament will be filmed for a reality television show to be aired on television.  All tournament participants must sign a publicity release form to be eligible to participate in the Tournament.  By entering into the “The Split” Blackjack Tournament, each participant consents to the use of their name, photograph, likeness, biography, voice and performance by the Chickasaw Nation and their designees for any lawful purpose including but not limited to, airing of the entrant’s performance in the Tournament and related circumstances and events including on-air camera appearances in a reality television show, any and all advertising and promotional purposes in any and all media now known or not currently known including but not limited to television, film, radio, online, and worldwide without limitation and without additional compensation to, notification of or permission of the entrant. Other than tournament payouts, participants will not be entitled to any compensation, monetary or otherwise, for their participation in the “The Split” Blackjack Tournament, the reality show series resulting from the tournament or any compensation from any promotional sponsors. The Chickasaw Nation and its designees may exploit, edit, modify, reproduce and distribute any and all footage compiled during the Tournament including the period when the potential Grand Prize Winner is announced. 


4.  All participants in the (5) Monthly Mega Blackjack Tournaments should come to the facility prepared to travel, as the six final players will embark on a three day, two night stay in the Dallas/Fort Worth area at the immediate conclusion of each Monthly Mega Tournament. Following the conclusion of each Monthly Mega Blackjack Tournament, the final six players will participate in a random drawing of six playing cards on Winstar Casinos property.   Each of the final six players will randomly select a card from the dealer of the final table. Following each Monthly Mega tournament, the final six players will then be taken to a different location and will enjoy five star treatment while staying at a resort, spa or mansion and participating in various activities that will be filmed for television, which may include sponsorship events unrelated to the outcome of the WWCS Blackjack Tournament, an outing to a sporting event or restaurant wherein a reenactment of the random card drawing may be conducted for television. The player who chose the lowest card in the random drawing will choose one of the other players to compete with in the Finale Split, which will take place at Winstar Casinos upon the completion of the off-location filming. The other four players will automatically advance to the Championship Blackjack Tournament. The two players participating in the Finale Split will be taken to a separate room that will contain a blackjack table and a dealer.  They will then play a pre-determined number of hands.  At the conclusion of those hands, the player with the highest chip count will advance to the Championship Blackjack Tournament and the loser will be eliminated. This process will be repeated after each of the (5) Monthly Mega Blackjack Tournaments to determine twenty-five (25) of the twenty-eight (28) players in the Championship Blackjack Tournament. 


5.  Prior to the Championship Blackjack Tournament, the five Monthly Mega Blackjack finalist previously eliminated for their loss in the Finale Split as described in Paragraph 4, will return to Winstar Casinos for one additional challenge for an opportunity to compete in the Championship Blackjack Tournament. 


6.  If for any reason a participant is unwilling, unavailable or unable to participate in the events or activities related to and surrounding “The Split” Blackjack Tournament as herein described, the Chickasaw Nation reserves the right to replace any such entrant with the next highest chip winner. 


7.  Winner(s) are responsible for all applicable taxes. Winner(s) will receive a W2-G and/or a 1099 tax form, when applicable, provided by the Chickasaw Nation.


8.  Any situation or dispute not covered by the rules governing “The Split” Blackjack Tournament will be resolved by the Chickasaw Nation in a manner deemed by the Nation to be the fairest to all concerned.  Any such decision shall be final and binding on all participants. In addition, the Chickasaw Nation reserves the right to void any entry, and/or change, cancel or modify this tournament at any time. Upon any prize dispute resulting from game play in this tournament, participants may file a Prize Claim with the Chickasaw Nation, Office of the Gaming Commissioner.


9.  Participation constitutes an agreement of each entrant to abide by these Official Rules of the Winstar World Championship Series “The Split” Blackjack Tournament. Failure to comply with these Official Rules may result in disqualification from the tournament and a forfeiture of any prizes.


10.  Participation constitutes affirmative consent of each entrant to the courts and laws of the Chickasaw Nation which shall govern this tournament.




$100,000.00 Monthly Mega Tournaments

Friday, March 14, 2008-Friday July 11, 2008


1.  The $100,000.00 Monthly  Mega Blackjack Tournaments will be held at the Winstar Casinos Showplace Theatre on each of the following Fridays: March 14, 2008, April 11, 2008, May 9, 2008, June 13, 2008 and July 11, 2008.  There will be a total of five (5) monthly tournaments.  On the designated day of each Monthly Mega Tournament registration will begin at 12:00 PM CST, and the tournament will begin at 2:00 PM CST.  Unless otherwise conflicting, all Chickasaw Nation Game Rules for Blackjack will apply.


2.  Each Mega Monthly tournament will consist of a maximum of three hundred sixty (360) total players. The top six (6) finalists from each Monthly Mega Tournament are ineligible to participate in any subsequent Mega Monthly Tournaments.


3.  A maximum of one hundred eighty (180) players may participate through buy-ins.

A. Each buy-in will be five hundred dollars ($500.00) plus a fifty dollar ($50.00) entry fee. The buy-in will be deposited into the player’s pool and the entry fee will pay for state and dealer fees.  The prize pool for each Monthly Mega Tournament will be funded by the player’s pool. Buy-ins can be purchased daily, (cash and credit cards accepted) at the Winstar Casinos Showplace box office from 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM CST or by calling Winstar Casinos at 1-800-622-6317. Players are not prohibited from purchasing multiple buy-ins.  Each buy-in will receive an entry chip to participate in one of the Monthly Mega Blackjack Tournaments.


4.  A maximum of one hundred eighty (180) players may be selected through random hot seat selections beginning Thursday, February 14, 2008 through Thursday, July 10, 2008. 

A.  The hot seat selection process will take place by selecting twenty (20) randomly selected seats from 11:00 AM-2:00 PM, 5:00 PM-7:00 PM and 12:00 AM-3:00 AM (all times CST) on Sundays and Thursdays on the following sets of dates:  2/14/2008-3/13/2008, 3/15/2008-4/10/2008, 4/12/2008-5/8/2008, 5/10/2008-6/12/2008, 6/14/2008-7/10, 2008.

B.  Winstar Casinos’ manual drawing system will be the sole determinant of each hot seat winner. 

C.  Players who are actively playing at a WinStar Casinos game of Blackjack, Ultimate Texas Hold-Em, Three-Card Poker, Pai Gow Poker and Baccarat are eligible for random hot seat selection.

D.  Each randomly selected winner will receive an entry chip to participate in one of the Monthly Mega Blackjack tournaments.


5.  Players must have a designated entry chip to participate in one of the Monthly Mega Blackjack tournaments.  All entry chips are transferable at the chip winner’s discretion.  All seating assignments will be randomly drawn and may be randomly changed to balance the field before the start of each round. All players will start with $1,000.00 in tournament chips, and each player’s chip counts will return to $1,000.00 at the conclusion of each round.  MONTHLY MEGA TOURNAMENTS WILL BE FILMED FOR TELEVISION PRODUCTION. 


6.  Twenty-one (21) hands will be dealt per round. First bet and first deal will rotate throughout each round. There is a minimum bet of $25.00 per hand. Players may bet “All In” at any time. No insurance will be offered.  Players will have two minutes to make a decision when their turn occurs in the betting order on each hand. If no bet is placed at the end of the two minutes then a $25.00 bet must be made at that time. At the conclusion of each round, if multiple players are tied with positive chip counts (for qualifying round positions only) then those players will compete in one hand “Sudden Death” rounds (at their  respective tables) until ties are broken. The winning player will advance to the next round. If on the last hand of a round, multiple players go “All In” and lose, the player who had the highest chip count in the previous hand will advance. The top six finishers of each Monthly Mega Blackjack Tournament will advance in the competition.


7.  Rounds 1 & 2: 180 players will compete at 30 tables and the top 3 chip counts from each table, a total of 90 players per round will advance to Round 3.  Round 3: 180 players will compete at thirty (30) tables and the top 3 chip counts from each table, a total of 90 players will advance to the next round. Round 4: 90 players will compete at 18 tables and the top 2 chip counts from each table, a total of 36 players will advance to the next round. Round 5: 36 players will compete at 6 tables and the highest chip count from each table, a total of 6 players will advance to the final table. Round 6: 6 players will compete at the final table.


8.  Pay Scale. First Place-$50,000.00, Second Place- $15,000.00, Third Place-$10,000.00, Fourth Place-$5,000.00, Fifth Place- $2,500.00, Sixth Place- $2,500.00, Seventh through Thirty-Sixth Places- $500.00.



$2,000,000.00 Championship Blackjack Tournament

August 16, 2008


1.  The $2,000.00 Championship Blackjack Tournament will be held at Winstar Casinos Showplace Theatre on Saturday, August 16, 2008.  Registration will begin at 12:00 PM CST, and the tournament will begin at 2:00 PM CST. Unless otherwise conflicting, all Chickasaw Nation Game Rules for Blackjack will apply. 


2. The Players will be the twenty-eight (28) finalists advancing from the five (5) preliminary Monthly Mega Blackjack Tournaments. Each player is limited to one seat in the Championship Blackjack Tournament.


3.  All players will start with $2,000.00 in tournament chips and each participant’s chip counts will return to $2,000.00 following the conclusion of each round.


4.  Seating assignments will be randomly drawn and may be randomly changed to balance the field before the start of each round. Twenty-one (21) hands may be dealt per round (if needed).


5.  THE $2,000,000.00 CHAMPIONSHIP BLACKJACK TOURNAMENT WILL BE FILMED FOR TELEVISION PRODUCTION.


6.  Round 1: Twenty-eight (28) players will compete at four (4) tables and the top three (3) chip counts from each table, a total of twelve (12) players will advance to the next round. Round 2:  Twelve (12) players will compete at two tables and the top three (3) chip counts from each table, a total of six (6) players will advance to the final round. Round 3: Six (6) players will compete at the final table.


7.  Pay Scale. First Place- $1,000,000.00, Second Place- $250,000.00, Third Place-$150,000.00, Fourth Place- $125,000.00, Fifth Place- $100,000.00, Sixth Place- $75,000.00, Seventh through Twelfth Places- $23,500.00, Thirteenth through Twenty-Eighth Places- $10,000.00.  Winners will have the option to choose payment in cash up to fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00).  Winnings in excess of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00) will be made by check; however winners may choose to receive up to fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00) in cash and the remainder by check.
