3-Card Poker

Although there are many variants today, the game of poker was originally played with three cards. It was thought to have spurred from the British card game of ‘Brag’ during the early 16th century. Today’s version of 3-Card Poker includes two gambling games in one, in which players have the option of playing either one or both games simultaneously. The first gaming option is “ante/play”, in which players compete against the dealer. The second gaming option is “pair plus”, which offers different bonus payouts for hands of one pair or better.

The game setup includes three cards dealt to the players face down and three cards to the dealer, two face down and one face up. Players have the option of making a play bet with an amount equal to or greater than the ante bet or folding, losing the ante and/or pair plus bet.
